7. The students did improve in the post test and met at least a competent status on the rubric for writing.

8. T he pre test/post test needed some HELP! I revised it and had the students take it again. They were patient and helpful and actually helped me do the revisions. I also found more web sites where they could practice the use of the words more. Although I did this lesson with students in two eighth grade classes, I used data from only one.

9. I had no idea that there was so much interest in homophones, which is such a small part of the whole picture in Language Arts. This project has taught me how to enhance each lesson I do by seeing what is available online. There are other technologies I’d like to add for the students-- -they were limited to what we had available to me and to the school.
