1 Monarch Butterfly By Julia Loudenburg and Jade Wittstruck Female Male

2 Cells Monarch butterflies blood cells, skin cells, brain cells, nerve cells, and muscle cells.

3 Reproduction The monarch butterfly lays eggs on the under side of the milk weed leaf.

4 Inherit traits They inherit traits as in number of spots, color, size, and how they develop.

5 Grow and develop They are larva for two weeks then they become caterpillars that are two inches long. Then to a pupa or a chrysalis. Then to a butterfly.

6 food Milkweed They eat milkweed.

7 Respond to the Environment They migrate north about 1,200-2,800 miles. During that time period they use Mimicry to keep them selves safe

8 cells and bodies They have compound eyes, palps, antennae, forewing, tail, head, thorax, abdomen, tarsi, tibia, femur, hindwing, proboscis, foreleg, midleg, hindleg.
