4 Symbols of New Year’s Day The symbol that America uses to symbolize New Year’s Day is the following: - A ball is dropped by the count of ten. This is followed by a traditional parade and football game.

5 New Year Wishes With every new year, we expect a whole new life. We wish each other good luck and promise ourselves to do better in the new year. People gather together with friends and family to watch the ball drop in Time Square. The next morning people watch the Rose Bowl tournament and watch a traditional football game.
