Zu Hause means at home (location) Nach Hause implies going home (motion) The verb indicates motion nach Hause is used. The verb does not indicate motion zu Hause is used.
When answering a question where someone is, if they are at home, you would reply by using zu Hause in the answer. When answering a question where someone is, going home, you would reply by using nach Hause in the answer.
Q: Wo ist Jana? A: Sie ist zu Hause. Q: Where is Jana? A: She is at home. Q: Wohin geht Felix? A: Er geht nach Hause. Q: Where is Felix going? A: He is going home.
Ist ihr Vater zu Hause? Is her father at home? Hast du einen Computer zu Hause? Do you have a computer at home? Bist du morgen zu Hause? Are you at home tomorrow?
Wann kommt Oliver nach Hause? When is Oliver going home? Geht er nach Hause? Is he going home? Um wie viel Uhr fährst du nach Hause? At what time are you driving home?
