You use the Perfect Tense to talk about things which happened in the past, e.g. Last year I went to Italy
The Perfect Tense is made up of 2 parts Some verbs, like fahren take the conjugated form of sein + Past Participle
Lets have a look at it: ich du Sie er/sie wir ihr sie bin bist sind ist sind seid sind nach Italien in die Schweiz gefahren
Have you noticed…..? The Past Participle ( gefahren ) goes right to the END of the sentence!!!!
Verbs that take sein instead of haben are usually verbs that express movement,i.e. getting from A to B or from Britain to Italy!!!
