3 American Foreign Affairs Neutrality- Isolationism- Alliance- Policy of choosing not to take sides in a conflict. (Switzerland today) Policy of having little to do with other countries. (N. Korea today) An agreement between 2 countries and/or more countries to fight (war) together. You’ve got someone’s back. (U.S. & Great Britain today) Define the following terms:

5 Washington’s Farewell Address Does America still follow it today? Why or why not? No The US has many alliances today and is involved with almost all of the world’s countries. Advancements in military technology such as Nuclear Weapons along with those in transportation and communication have made the world a much smaller place and an ocean is no longer a great obstacle to overcome. Also, the US government is dominated today by 2 political parties: Republicans & Democrats
