4 Photostory 3 Photostory 3 is a free download from Microsoft. With a single click, you can Touch-up Crop Rotate pictures Remove red-eye Add special effects Add soundtracks Add narration to your photo stories. Personalize with titles and captions. Small file sizes make it easy to send your photo stories in an e- mail or watch them on your TV, a computer, or a Windows Mobile– based portable device.

5 Create a New Project Select NEXT

6 Import Images Photostory allows import of most common image formats, including.bmp,.dib,.eps,.gif,.jhif, ljpe,.jpeg,.jpg,.pcd,.pcx,.png,.psd,.rle,.tga, and.tif. You can import a maximum of 300 images per project.

7 Open the folder with saved images

8 Select the desired images If you wanted to import some photos, but not all, you would click on the first photo, then hold down the CTRL key and select only those photos you want by clicking once on them, then click "OK."

9 Arrange you images Click on the image to move (continue to hold down the mouse) and drag the image to the desired location and drop. Continue moving images until all are in the correct order.

10 Edit Images 1.Select the image that needs editing. 2.It will appear in the larger window. 3.Select Edit 1.1. 2.2. 3.3.

11 Edit the Image There are 3 tabs at the top. From the first tab – rotate or crop the image.

12 To Crop and Rotate Place a check in the crop box. A rectangle will appear. Drag the edges of the rectangle to cover the desired area. Next click on CLOSE and save the changes. This image needs to be rotated. Select the arrow pointing in the direction to rotate. The original image is not altered!

13 Auto Fix

14 The effect(s) can be applied to all pictures if desired. Add Effects

15 Save your project Save the project after each addition and change. Warning: By default, Photostory automatically saves projects into the "My Videos" folder. Be sure to change to your personal folder when saving EVERYTHING.

16 Add a Title or Caption Select the image to create a title on. Add the text - The title can have a maximum of 1,024 characters. The text wraps in the picture preview area. Apply desired characteristics –1. font, size and color –2. alignment –3. location on page Add text 123

17 Narrate the Story

18 Narrate the story Add notes to help you as you narrate the story. Click on the forward arrow to advance to the next slide. Click the Red dot to record as you move through the slides

22 Add Background Music

23 Create Music There are many choices for creating music!

24 More about Music Music can be created or added to each picture or it can be applied to the entire story. Music is color coded over each picture.

25 Save Your Story Save for many options –Playback on computer –Send in an email message –Playback on Pocket PC –Playback on Smartphone –Portable Media Center Build Your Story Preview Your Story

26 Select desired location to save the project.
