Co-operative was introduce in Malaya by Colonial Government in 1909 Take root in 1922, in response to rural problems relating to credit and indebtness Co-operatives movement has made significant progress since it was first introduce in 1922. Government’s consistent support for the growth and development in almost every economic sphere

Co-operative training & education is a vital factor for growth and expansion of co-operation as a social economic movement Co-operative education is of a paramount important fo the co-operative movement Education and training are correlated and interdependent Encourage members to make greater use of their co-operatives and, in turn, lead their support to their institution

“Co-operatives provide education and training for their members, elected representatives, managers, and employees so they can contribute effectively to the development of their co-operatives, They inform the general public - particularly young people and opinion leaders - about the nature and benefits of co- operation.”
