2. Essential Questions What are the different types of graphs? How would you analyze data based on a particular graph? What are the different types of graphs? How can we use graphs to formulate and answer questions, and draw conclusions. I am going to ask questions about each of the following graphs. I did not put questions in presentation in case you wanted to get through it quicker:)

6. Circle Graphs Traffic in NY Circle graphs compare items out of a total group. Percents always add up to 100%. This graph shows the types of traffic in New York City. The comparison is made by using percents. Question: What percent of traffic is wheelbarrows and trucks?

7. Bar Graphs Bar graphs compare the quantity of given items. This graph compares the number of different types of pets on my street.

8. Line Graphs Line graphs compare an item over time. This graph compares the number of potatoes eaten in a week. **Line graphs show data over a period of time!!!

9.
