Friends should help encourage you to attain a high quality of the self. They urge you to use your talents, to make positive decisions and to grow into a dynamic, caring and loving person.

3. True Friendship Loyal and Honest When a friendship is honest, those friends are able to be open and explicit with each other, and expect confidentiality. Even when the truth can seem ugly, a true friend will listen, will attempt to understand and try to respond to the best of their ability.

4. True Friendship Mutual and Equal Friendship must be a two-way street. You give and receive mutually, and over time in various different ways, equally.

5. True Friendship Accepting of Who the Other Is If it is a true friendship, both people know and accept each other’s good and not- so good qualities. That is a real test of friendship because it is easy to deal with someone’s good qualities.

Buddies Usually form around a mutual interest or activity An examples may be 2 people who play league volleyball once a week. They go out afterwards for a bite to eat or drink. The relationship only ever revolves around volleyball.
