Urbanization –Transformation of population from country to city dwellers Transportation improvements –Electric trolley car –1 st Subway Steam powered engines –Factories could be located anywhere Mechanization of Agriculture –machines replaced manual labor or animals Creature Comforts –Cities had plays, concerts, stores, electricity, indoor plumbing
