2 What happened? 14 year old girl named Malala lives in Pakistan where the Taliban does not want girls to get an education. Malala wants an education and made speeches against the Taliban’s rule. The Taliban has wanted to kill Malala for many months and recently shot her on her way home from school.

3 What Malala did and the Taliban's attempt at murder Malala has been specking publicly about the Taliban’s rule and has also been disobeying it and encouraging many others to follow her lead. The Taliban has been threatening Malala for many months and recently as she left school she was shot in the head and in the neck. She is still alive but in critical condition. Yesterday Malala was given a 70% chance to survive and was moved to a different hospital where they have more equipment to help her although she is still unconscious.

4 What the Taliban says now The Taliban has taken responsibility for the attack and say that they intend to kill her if she survives and leaves the hospital.

5 The country The news of Malala’s shooting has not gone well in Pakistan they are now protesting against the Taliban and say that if Malala die many others will fulfill what she was trying to do.

6 What would you do? If you were Malala would you have stopped fighting for a cause that you belive in as strongly as Malala when you herd that the Taliban wanted to kill you?
