3 Observations I noticed that the grass in the back of the house doesn’t grow as fast as the grass in the front of the house does.

4 Question Do plants need light to grow?

5 Hypothesis I think plants in the light will grow faster than plants that aren’t in the light.

6 Experiment Materials 4 lima bean seeds 2 plastic cups Potting soil Water Cabinet space Window space

7 Experiment & Test Hypothesis Place potting soil in each cup about ¾ full. Push 2 bean seeds about an inch into the soil of each cup. Place one cup in a cabinet. Place the other cup in a window. Each plant is given 2 Tablespoons of water each day. Observe the plants over 2 weeks (14 days).

9 Drawing Conclusions I saw that plants in the light grow faster than plants without light.
