8. Abbreviations Abbreviations are shortened forms of certain words. Remember, when you write the abbreviation for a word, it ends with a PERIOD! Street = St. Mister = Mr. Doctor = Dr.

15. Possessive – It’s MINE!!! When you are talking about possessive, you are talking about ownership or something belonging to someone. There are two rules to remember when you are making nouns possessive: 1.To make a singular nouns possessive, add ‘s 2.To make a plural noun THAT ALREADY ENDS IN “S” possessive, add only an apostrophe.
