3 TEASE Changes: Shared Services Arrangements New: Certifiers for SSA need only one user ID and password for TEASE to access all member districts. The TEASE account for fiscal agent will allow Certifiers to enter data and certify data for all member districts in SSA for SPP 7. 4 TEASE Changes: Shared Services Arrangements Current SPP 7 SSA Certifiers: To see all member districts in dropdown menu of SPP 7, user logs into TEASE account using the username and password of fiscal agent. All TEASE accounts associated with member districts will become inactive in the Spring of 2012. New Certifiers: Apply for one account that is associated with fiscal agent. ESC: There is no action required of current SPP7 SSA Certifiers. If a district certifier cannot see their member district in drop down, direct them to verify they are logging into TEASE with user name and password of fiscal agent. 5 Types: New & Returning Users New User: This person has never applied for a TEA Secure Environment (TEASE) account or any of the application accessible through TEASE portal. 7 TEASE: NEW TEASE USERS If you DO NOT have a TEASE user account, you must request access online. The online form is accessible via the Request New TEASE User Account page at the following web address: https://seguin.tea.state.tx.us/appsng/um/apply.aspx https://seguin.tea.state.tx.us/appsng/um/apply.aspx When requesting a new user account, you will also be requesting access to SPP 7. 10 3. NEW TEASE USERS Fill in applicant information Districts include your 6 digit County District Number (CDN). Use the e-mail address where your user name and password will be sent Shared Service Arrangements: District Certifier- The 6 digit CDN must be the number of the fiscal agent. 13 6. NEW TEASE USERS TEASE: The request process for a new TEASE user account has been completed. Continue to add the SPP7 role information. SPP 7 application: The user will continue the process of requesting access to the SPP 7 application by first selecting the appropriate role. 14 Roles and Additional Information for Indicator 7 Application District Certifier – Can enter, submit and certify data for all campuses in district. Can access: Entry Child Outcomes, Exit Child Outcomes, Campus Home, District Home, Reports, and FAQ. Only one certifier per district. Campus Data Entry Agent – Can enter and submit data for specific campus. Can access: Entry Child Outcomes, Exit Child Outcomes, Campus Home, Reports, and FAQ. District may have more than one data entry agent. ESC Viewer – Can view regional data. Can access: District Home, Reports, and FAQ. 15 Requesting Access for SPP 7 The SPP 7 application has a Select Role and Provide Additional Information page Once you select a role, click Continue to move to the Provide Additional Information page. This page requires a 6 digit count district number or a 9 digit count district campus number. The District Certifier will enter the 6 digit number; the Data Entry Agent will enter the 9 digit number (no spaces or dashes). SSA: Campuses listed may be from different districts if the data entry agent is entering for the member districts of the SSA. EX. 123456789,123456098,123456846 Non-Example: 789, 098, 123-456-466

24 Add to Your Existing Account Select SPP 7 from the drop down and click “Continue”. Follow the process to select the appropriate role and provide additional information page At the summary page, check information and then send request. 25 Approval to TEASE IMPORTANT: The request for an account and access to SPP 7 is forwarded online immediately to the district Superintendent for initial approval. The Superintendent receives an e-mail the following day notifying them of pending TEASE approvals. If access is needed immediately, the user will need to contact the Superintendent for immediate approval. Data Collection 2011-12TEA l Division of Federal and State Education Policy 25

26 Approval to TEASE (Cont) Once approved by the superintendent, the request is forwarded online to TEA for final approval. Allow 2-3 weeks for approval. If you do not get a notification within 2-3 weeks, first contact your superintendent’s office. When approval is issued, the system sends e-mail notification to the address provided in the TEASE application. Data Collection 2011-12TEA l Division of Federal and State Education Policy 26

29 Revoking User Roles If the person established as the Certifier has left that position or the district, that role will need to be revoked by the Superintendent before a new Certifier can have access. The Superintendent must log into TEASE and access User Administration+ to revoke the role. User Administration +(UA+) is the required application for Superintendents and other organization heads to manage staff requests for access to TEA online applications.
