1 FUEL SOURCES: NUCLEAR BY NINA GREEN

2 ADVANTAGES OF NUCLEAR ENERGY
Currently, 30 countries have nuclear power programs. Nuclear power steadily grew around the world from early 1970s to the early 1990s. Nuclear capacity developed most quickly between 1970 and 1995 in North America, primarily the U.S. Gives us 20% of our electricity each year. Nuclear power comes from a reactor where atoms are split to release there energy. Nuclear power plants don't use coal, fuel oil, or natural gas to boil water. It captures the heat released during fission in the nuclear reaction to heat water to make steam.

3 DISADVANTAGES OF NUCLEAR ENERGY
When the control rods are lowered into the bundles, the rods produce less heat. The waste from nuclear energy is extremely dangerous. Nuclear power plants can to a certain extent be used to build nuclear weapons (nuclear proliferation). Nuclear energy is the occurrence of accidents due to core meltdown. These accidents happen when the core overheats and radiation products are allowed to escape the building.
