The 1 st Command, Vs. 1: “Do not forget”

For Bible doctrine to be usable it must be remembered. You cannot use doctrine by simply grabbing it off the page in time of disaster. It must be in your soul!

We should not forget God’s teaching and commandments; Bible Doctrines and their principles, precepts and categories.

The 1 st Blessing, Vs. 2: Having God’s Word in the heart of your soul.

1. OREK YOM – “Length of Days” A protracted period of time or long life, Deut 30:20; Job 12:12; Psa 91:16; Prov 3:2,16, or everlasting life after death, Psa 21:4; 23:6.

This is having a long life in Phase Two, your spiritual walk here on earth.

You will be in the Plan of God for Phase Two; a long, productive, useful and wonderful life.

This is not a guarantee that you will live to 120 years old, but a quality spiritual life can lead to a quantity of years in the physical life.

2. SHANAH CHAYYIM – “Years of life” This means a full life, not long in the sense of length of days but one of quality in the spiritual realm here on earth.

It means an abundant life, a full life, a life which is characterized by a maximum amount of time under inner happiness where Bible doctrine in your soul produces inner happiness, +H. 28 3. SHALOM – Peace and prosperity. It means having a happy life, untroubled, and with a sense of fulfillment and security.

It refers to your inner happiness producing stability of mentality, Isa 26:3.

Isa 26:3, “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.”

It includes contentment, prosperity, freedom from oppression by others, and a sense of completion.

2 Tim 4:7-8, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; 8in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.” Cf. 1 Cor 9:24; Heb 12:1-2;

It means a life absent of conflict and strife, and one that has harmony with God in which all a person’s needs are met and the person experiences wholeness. Phil 4:11-13
