1 AP Mathematics Courses  College level courses which follow the curriculum and content designed by College Board.  The content is both rigorous and challenging.  Require more study time than a typical high school class  Minimum 30-60 minutes of daily practice per course

2 Students should possess:  Solid work ethic  Self-motivation  Independent critical thinking skills  An interest in detail  Ability to express mathematical concepts in symbolic form  Willingness to Learn  Dedication, Desire, and Discipline

3 AP Calculus ABAP Calculus AB/BC Year long one period courseYear long two period course Equivalent to one semester of college Calculus Equivalent to two semesters of college Calculus (students are expected to remain in the course the entire year) A grade of 3 or higher may earn college credit for one semester, depending on the college standards A grade of 3 or higher may earn college credit for two semesters, depending on the college standards

4 PREREQUISITES AP CALC AB Accelerated Math III, IB Math Studies or Math IV  550 Math SAT (55 PSAT )  550 Verbal SAT (55 PSAT) AP CALC AB/BC Accelerated Math III  600 Math SAT (60 PSAT)  600 Verbal SAT (60 PSAT)

5 AP Statistics  AP Statistics is a year long one period course.  AP Statistics is equivalent to the one semester Introduction to Statistics course offered at most colleges.  Each student is expected to remain in the class for the entire year.  A grade of 3 or higher may earn college credit, depending on the college standards. PREREQUISITES  Accelerated Math II or Math III  550 Verbal SAT (55 PSAT)  550 Math SAT (55 PSAT)
