1 What is Industrialisation? Industrialisation is a social and economical development of industry on an large scale, based on the increased production of goods and services. It is the process of moving from people making their own things, to use of factories. Between 1750 and 1850 the U.K experienced the first industrial revolution. There were factories for textile production, steam power and iron making.

2 Why was industrialisation important during the making of the modern world? ‒It enhanced agriculture ‒Provided jobs to more people ‒It was a turning point in the development of larger cities ‒Advances in the Textile and Technology industries

3 Three Facts About Industrialisation ‒Industrial Revolution was caused by people trying to find ways to increase production of food and goods. ‒In the Industrial Revolution time period, miners used child labour as one of the main ways to get coal in small places. ‒Many inventions were made in the era of the Industrial Revolution. Some examples are:  Shampoo (Sake Dean Mahomet of Bengal)  Steamboat (Claude de Jouffroy)  Hot air balloon (Montgolfier brothers)  Vaccination (Edward Jenner)  Kaleidoscope (David Brewster)
