3 CFM & metadata o (Single) item o Compound object o Non- compounded objects with 1 metadata record. o Compound objects can be collections of items, double sided materials (like Postcards), or bounded materials.

4 Compound objects o Can have a single metadata record or multiple records. o Main record known in CONTENTdm as document level record. In addition each object, page, etc. of a compound object can have a metadata record or page level metadata. o Page level metadata is recommended for collections of materials created as compound object.

5 Page level metadata o Allows for fuller accessibility of information. o Better retrieval.
