ALLIED EDUCATORS Background Allied Educators work with teachers to nurture and develop every child in school by raising the quality of interaction with every child. They will support the teachers in the application of innovative pedagogies to instruct and interact with each pupil. Helping students to do better! “We have to take care of their total well-being. Apart from learning academic subjects, they must also pick up life skills and develop positive attitudes in life.” The allied educators will also build rapport with the pupils to help them improve their self-confidence, self-esteem and sense of independence.

6 Classroom Support Provide specific and differentiated learning and teaching support for individual or a group of pupil (max 5) in the classroom. Provide teaching and remediation support for pupils within or outside classroom. Undertake co-teaching responsibilities. Assist teachers in the delivery of pastoral and disciplining classes.Conduct class behaviour observation to identify pupils with disruptive and distracting behaviours. Builds rapport with teachers & AED(C and LBS) beyond learning to improve on other areas of discipline concern.

7 Level Support Assist in the level administration and provide logistic support to Level. Eg. Temperature taking, distribute class attendance file, preparation of Maths Manipulative, Science Experiments or English Resources (LRD, Stellar). Assist and develop additional teaching and learning support programmes for pupils. Eg: Supplementary worksheets. Administration of deskcopies & manipulative to teachers. Assist and conduct of CCA and competitions, ensuring safety and discipline during Learning Journey, rehearsal for school events. Support in level camps (P5 and P6). Support in level forums /briefings except P3. Support in ICT resources. Support in Level Community Involvement Programme. Attend Level meeting.

8 School Support Involve in training of students in events for Canberra Fiesta, Kids Olympics and NAPFA. Assist in administration of examinations. Eg: Time Keeper for English Oral Exams, Science and Maths Practical, deployment for PSLE examination matters. Support in School events, such as Open House, Festive activities and various subject-based activities. Support in PCCG as safety officer in before/after school and recess time.

9 Pupils  Contribute towards the academic, behaviour and social development of pupils  Leverage content / technical expertise to deliver learning programmes to pupils within specification area.School  Complement teachers with practical aspect of delivering learning programmes to pupils.  Collaborate with teachers in classroom management.  Contribute to school activities and initiatives.  External Partners  Collaborate with external partners to support activities related to pupils’ learning.Self  Maintain efforts for continuous self & professional development.  Practice self-care to maintain a healthy mental / emotional state.
