1. West Fork Beaver River, West Point, OH. Constructed Sept. 2002 Minimal height Bendway Weirs in a gravel-cobble-sand-silt bed stream for thalweg realignment & bank stabilization in the area of an exposed high-pressure pipeline overbend.

3. Functions of Bendway Weirs on the West Fork Beaver River: Main functions of the BW are to provide bank stabilization within the bend and realign the thalweg through the bend and center the thalweg where the pipeline overbend was exposed by erosion. The pipeline was directly protected with Submar’s patented Articulated Concrete Mattress (ACM) system.
