CONSTRUCTION OCT. 9-12, 2007 CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT & STONE COSTS - APPROX. $16,000. TOTAL

METHODS EMPLOYED  125 ft of self-adjusting & self-filtering Longitudinal Peaked Stone Toe Protection {LPSTP}. Mix of DOT heavy & medium graded stone. All protection is on right bank  100 ft of stacked stone wall in the impact zone (upstream end of project)  Curved & vegetated keys on US & DS ends, 1 vegged tieback & key in middle of project  A stone check dam at DS end {did not have enuf stone for an Engineered Rocked Riffle}  A curved kicker (Smile) to form a curved pool  Five Single-Stone Bendway Weirs  Several transplanted Streamco Willow shrubs  Live Siltation, Pole Plantings, & Live Staking using Streamco & Black Willows, Red Osier & Silky Dogwoods  Rooted-stock Red Osier Dogwood (6 plants)

Looking US at the constructed bypass channel. We plugged the channel, put all flow in the bypass channel, & worked in the dry during construction. Under construction-Elton Creek DS of Freedom 7 Bridge-derrick-Oct 2007

Silky & red osier cut from an old channel on property Under construction-Elton Creek DS of Freedom 7 bridge-derrick-Oct 2007 All willow & dogwood cuttings were harvested from the property.

WE WILL START DOWNSTREAM & WORK UPSTREAM, THEN DO THE GRADE CONTROL @ THE DS END LAST.
