4. Method of Seed Propagation: Bamboo Seeds are collected and sown immediately so that the seeds remains viable and germinate soon. The seeds are sown on nursery beds or in poly bags and covered with very thin layer of soil or compost. The seeds sown are watered daily as per requirement with the help of a fine rose can. Seed starts germinating from 3-7 days and may continue up to 15-25 days. Seedlings with 3 cm height are transplanted into poly bags and are allowed to grow for 8 to 12 months. Direct transplanting into field should be avoided to reduce mortality. The shade and watering frequency is gradually reduced in 1 to 2 months and then the hardened seedlings are transplanted
