2 On 10 May 1940, Winston Churchill became the Prime Minister of Great Britain. The first major crisis he had to deal with was at Dunkirk in 1940. Many people felt it was Britain’s darkest hour. He had to make the people of Britain believe that the war was not lost and that they should prepare for the threat of invasion by the Nazis.

3 On the 4 June 1940, Winston Churchill made a speech to the House of Commons to inform MPs about what had happened at Dunkirk and what the next challenge facing Britain was. Your task is to write his speech for him.
