2. WHO IS RFTA? A regional public transportation agency; The 2 nd largest transit agency in Colorado; Service Area covers State Hwy 82 and the I-70 corridor to Rifle; We carry an average of 4.85 million passengers annually.

3. WHAT IS VelociRFTA? VelociRFTA is the name given to our BRT, or Bus Rapid Transit, project which began in Nov 2008 VelociRFTA will provide service along the Hwy 82 Corridor from Glenwood Springs to Aspen. BRT Station Sites

BACKGROUND & PURPOSE This procurement is 1.A part of RFTA’s overall BRT Program 2.In accordance with the Western Colorado Regional ITS Architecture Plan 3.Intended to: –Produce efficiencies in Operations –Provide the ability to better monitor system performance –Assist each agency in fulfilling its’ Mission Statement

AVL/CAD: Regional Integration EAGLE COUNTY REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY Will be procuring and deploying all of the technologies listed in this RFP November 2011Accelerated Deployment – November 2011 Acceptance in conjunction with RFTA’s project schedule Vendor should evaluate and propose solutions for the following scenarios: Option 1 = Independent Systems Option 2 = An Integrated System Option 3 = 3 rd Party Hosting

6. AVL/CAD: Regional Integration TOWN OF SNOWMASS VILLAGE RFTA operates the buses servicing this area Snowmass Village operates an indoor transit facility Seeks to procure seven (7) real- time arrival departure signs November 2011 –Deployment by November 2011

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AVL & other data communications between all components of the system will be transmitted over a new data network –This new network will be designed and installed as a part of this project. Vendor should evaluate and propose the optimal solution for integrating the AVL/CAD system with current voice communications Integration with the existing voice communication system shall be submitted as an option.

9.
