4. Trends one: rapid growth According to WTO, there are 330 regional arrangements notified to WTO by July, 2005, in which 206 are reported after Jan. 1995 and 180 are already effective. There are many other regional arrangements under negotiation. All WTO members except Mongolia have been members of at least one regional arrangement. it is estimated that more than half of global trade was within regional arrangements.
