1 ZOE The Life of GOD Part 13

2 I John 5 11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life (perpetual ZOE), and this life is in his Son.

3 3 Kinds of Life BIOS – natural life and is very short and is temporary (plant, animal, body – biography, and biology) PSUCHE – soul, mind, will, & emotions and is immortal (can not cease to exist, can not die) psyche, and psychology ZOE – life of God and is eternal (perpetual, instantly and constantly being renewed). Resides in your spirit.

4 2 Corinthians 4 10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life (ZOE) also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

5 II Peter 1 2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

6 II Peter 1 3According as his divine (gk. – Godhead’s) power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life (ZOE) and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature (gk.- equal partners of the Godhead), having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

7 II Peter 1 5And beside this (the great promises), giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

8 II Peter 1 8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 II Peter 1 9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

10 II Peter 1 11For thus shall be richly supplied unto you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

11 II Peter 1 12Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. 13Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

12 II Peter 1 Do these things to never fall…
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue (valor); and to virtue (valor) knowledge;

13 Lazy, Carelessness, Lethargy, Indifference, Apathy
Diligence Attentive and persistent in doing a thing; steadily applied; active; unremitting; untiring; constancy of effort; speed and earnestness; meticulous; Opposite of: Lazy, Carelessness, Lethargy, Indifference, Apathy (Jesus equates it with FAITHFULNESS)

14 Luke 16 10He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

15 II Peter 1 Do these things to never fall…
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your FAITH virtue (valor); and to virtue (valor) knowledge;

16 Faith Absolute certainty in the trustworthiness of another: (should be GOD) TRUST Opposite of: disbelief, distrust, doubt, misgiving, skepticism, suspicion, uncertainty, to be unsure, lacking in confidence, FEAR

17 Exodus 13  17And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent (turn back) when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

18 Land of Philistines -- ____

19 Exodus 13  18But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

21 Hebrews 11 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek (gk. – crave) him.

22 Psalm 31  23O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserves the faithful, and plentifully rewards the proud doer.

23 Numbers 13 25And they returned from searching of the land after forty days. 26And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.

24 Numbers 13 27And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sent us, and surely it flows with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. 28Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

25 Numbers 13 29The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan. 30And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

26 Numbers 13 31But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

27 II Peter 1 Do these things to never fall…
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith VIRTUE (valor); and to virtue (valor) knowledge;

28 Virtue (gk. – VALOR) Courage; Boldness; Brave; Fearless especially in battle Opposite of: Cowardice, Fearful, Timid, Faint-hearted, Shrinking, Shy, Skittish, Retreating, Subdued

29 Joshua 14 6Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea. 7Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.

30 Joshua 14 8Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.

31 Joshua 14 9And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God. 10And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

32 Joshua 14 11As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. 12Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.

33 Joshua 14 13And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance. 14Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel. 15And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war.

34 II Peter 1 Do these things to never fall…
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue (valor); and to virtue (valor) KNOWLEDGE;

35 Knowledge (gk. – science)
Information, especially that gained through observation, identification, description, investigation, experience, and explanation. Opposite of: Ignorance, Unawareness, Incomprehension, Incapacity (which puts you in a position of being weak, helpless, powerless)

36 2 Chronicles 1 7In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

37 2 Chronicles 1 8And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. 9Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

38 2 Chronicles 1 10Give me now wisdom (hb.- skillfulness in using knowledge) and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge (make decisions) this thy people, that is so great?

39 2 Chronicles 1 11And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge (make decisions concerning) my people, over whom I have made thee king:

40 2 Chronicles 1 12Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

41 Ecclesiastes 10 8He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him. 9Whoso removeth stones shall be hurt therewith; and he that cleaveth wood shall be endangered thereby. 10If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.
