2. About WIKI Wikis are a newer tool in the big group of collaborative technology that includes things like chat, email and web boards, and this class is growing all the time. In the "The Wiki Way", the founder of the wiki, Ward Cunningham, describes wikis in this way "freely expandable collection of interlinked Web 'pages,' a hypertext system for storing and modifying information a database, where each page is easily editable by any user with a forms-capable Web browser client".

About WIKI The features that make wikis so "easy-to- use" include; simple and quick editing and uploading of webpages, no need to know HTML, specialized text or WikiWords create the links, anyone in the world can change anything on a wiki, (although this can be managed) and tracking history that allows reverting to previous editions of a page.
