All rights reserved. 8-15 All the various templates can be accessed in the template manager from the Practice View screen Select the appropriate category button to view each list Highlight the desired template and begin to make modifications Create templates from this window by selecting the [New Template] button as an alternative method Template Manager LO 8.4

All rights reserved. 8-17 Procedure templates are very useful when documenting procedural verbiage in the OV Each time the procedure is documented in an OV note, the verbiage associated with the procedure becomes a permanent part of the OV note Procedure templates are created by accessing the Edit menu in the Practice View screen and selecting the Procedures submenu Procedure Templates LO 8.5

All rights reserved. 8-18 Creating pop-up text that can be applied to many different procedures saves the clinician time setting up procedure templates When procedures are selected in the OV screen, associated text is added to the OV note. Procedure template text can be opened in the OV note for further modification for the specific patient Procedure Templates LO 8.5

All rights reserved. 8-19 LO 8.1 Create and activate an office visit template TemplateWare comes with prebuilt office visit, orders, and letter templates OV template is created the same way as if creating an office visit note Vitals or the face sheet information are added during the time of the patient’s actual visit Template can be created by saving an existing office visit note as a template After the practitioner has determined the nature and cause of the chief complaints, an OV template can be selected to complete the remaining note Chapter 8 Summary

Order templates are created to provide rapid documentation for the ordering of tests and referrals Select the order template from within the patient chart or the Office Visit screen EHR program automatically displays the diagnosis(es) and ordered tests from the currently open OV note Add primary insurance to the order form with one button click Chapter 8 Summary
