2 In 2009, 45 of the 50 U.S. states, plus Washington DC, had some form of virtual education available to K-12 students… “Online programs run by a single district, for students in that district, represent an emerging category of online learning activity (Watson, Gemin, Ryan & Wicks) “In 2014, it is predicted that 25% of high school courses will be taught online.” (Christensen, 2008) CUE 2011
