5 Parts of an Interview Formal greeting and introduction/handshake

8 The Western Handshake Should be facing the person and making eye contact Your hands should be locked together Must be firm, but not too strong Must be confident and approachable, not weak or aggressive Shake three times *A handshake shows that you have nothing to hide.

13 Did you know? There are various customs surrounding handshakes. The handshake is commonly done upon meeting, greeting, parting, offering congratulations, expressing gratitude, or completing an agreement. In sports or other competitive activities, it is also done as a sign of good sportsmanship. Its purpose is to convey trust, balance, and equality.
