1 TITLE: REVIEW EARLY Civilizations! DO NOW 1.If you could be anyone from an ancient civilization who would it be and why? Describe in 5 sentences about why this person is important to you. 2.Who was the person you performed a skit about last week? (WITHOUT LOOKING AT YOUR NOTES)

2 Benchmarks Next Week! In order to prepare for the History Benchmark next week, we will spend this entire week getting ready! I know you will do great, but we need to make sure that we as a class together understand everything we have learned so far! We need to work as a class to make sure WE ALL help each other out!

4 Test Review I’m going to pass out copies of the Early Humans test we took in September We will spend a few minutes going over the questions and the correct answers IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS or are CONFUSED ABOUT ANYTHING, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

5 Don’t Forget… After the Neanderthal were: –Homo Sapiens (Cro-Magnon) Cro-Magnon refers to one of the main types of early modern humans whose remains were first Why do you need to remember this? –In case they use the word Cro-Magnon instead of Homo Sapiens, you should still know what they are talking about!

14 Study Guide (use the front and back of your index card) Hunter-gatherers had to adapt to many changes –Once they were able to adapt to their environment, they could establish permanent communities –When they couldn’t acquire goods they could not produce, they had a surplus of goods that they could trade Homo-erectus was the first species to venture into different climates of Europe. Adjusting to the cold weather was difficult because they had to locate food during the winter seasons
