Financial asset Cash, a contractual right to receive cash, a contractual right to exchange financial instruments with another party under potentially favourable conditions or an equity instrument of another entity. Financial liability Any liability that is a contractual obligation to deliver cash or another financial asset or to exchange financial instruments with another party under potentially unfavourable conditions
