10 Roles of the Regulatory body & the Professional body Regulatory Body Acts in the interest of the public Promotes the process of regulation Holds a single register of practitioners who meet agreed standards of training and practice Sets minimum requirements for CPD Develops & recommends a core curriculum for the profession Operates FTP procedures Professional Body Acts in the interest of the profession Promotes & supports the practitioners & the profession A membership organisation of professional practitioners Ensures members meet CPD requirements. May provide/recommend suitable CPD courses to members Ensures courses cover the core curriculum May provide information on insurance to members
