CHAPTER 3 SECTION 1- PRESSURE 3A : Atmospheric (Air) Pressure decreases as you move away from the Earth’s surface and gain elevation or altitude 3B : Atmospheric pressure decreases with elevation because as you move higher there is less air above you. Water pressure increases with depth because the deeper you travel underwater the more water there is above you.
