2. Minutes of SeON WG session SeON WG GISFI #8 report was summarized and the SeON WG GISFI#9 agenda was approved. Deliverables Status Discussed –Task 1: SeON Framework document – As per the discussions, this document needs more improvement from its authors in the areas of gap analysis and use cases. Nevertheless the first version of this TR should be sent for review by Sep’12. Further it should be updated with Indian operators concerns and have gap analysis report merged to it. –Task 2: Business Models – This document is approved and only requires editorial review. Further it should take a feedback from operators on this TR. –Task 3: Gap analysis with other SDO – The gap analysis output should be captured in the SeON Framework document. –Task 5: Information Management – Basavaraj Hooli’s contribution on Telecom Billing and Revenue Management was discussed. APIs for Information management provided by SeON Platforms may provide development of applications with insight to revenue leak and customer churn to the operator. Its considered as one potential area for this TR. –Task 6: Cloud Computing Framework – Hemanth, TCS provided an overview on the study of QoS in Cloud by studying the impact of bandwidth for accessing cloud resources through Public and Private networks. All TRs will follow 3GPP TR document format.

3. Minutes of SeON WG session Contributions Discussed –SeON Framework Document – Ashutosh (NIKSUN), Niranth (Huawei) Operator concerns should be captured into this TR after a formal workshop. E2E view of service oriented network like VoLTE should be considered as one of the focus areas. Need to consider the perspective regarding the value of IMS and other architectures in delivering SeON objectives. Merge gap analysis into this TR and add few use cases (VoLTE, etc.) –Liaisons Report – Ashutosh (NIKSUN), Niranth (Huawei) Shared the current status of the informal discussion with other SDOs like IEEE P1903, ATIS CSF, IETF Cloud Need to send the liaisons within Jun’12.

4. Minutes of SeON WG session Contributions Discussed –SeON Workshop Proposal – Niranth (Huawei), Ashutosh (NIKSUN) Workshop proposal was welcome by all members. Mr. Mittar of TEC should be contacted for the workshop on SeON/Cloud area. Follow the model of Security and Privacy workshop with TEC and Operators. –Telecom Billing and Revenue Management – Basavaraj Hooli (Presented by Ashutosh) APIs for Information management provided by SeON Platforms may provide development of applications with insight to revenue leak and customer churn to the operator. Its considered as one potential area for this TR ITU-T has also worked on standardization in this area. Hence, Basavaraj needs to present the clear scope for TR in the next meeting. –QoS in Cloud – Hemanth, TCS Discussed impact of bandwidth for accessing cloud resources through Public and Private networks. Need to present in the next meeting.

5. Minutes of SeON WG session Working Group Name Change. –Industry is relating to service oriented architectures specifically through the term “cloud computing”. Hence to provide a better visibility of the working group in the industry, it was proposed to add the term “Cloud” to the working group name. –The proposed new name is “Cloud and Service Oriented Network” NTP 2012 has some objectives having close relation to SeON WG. The WG should consider to address them and update the charter of SeON WG.

6. Minutes of SeON WG session Next Steps –Deliverables SeON Business Models TR to be editorially reworked and published before Sep’12. SeON Framework, Gap Analysis and Architecture TR to be reworked by Sep’12 –Liaisons LS to be sent to IEEE P1903, IETF Cloud Computing Group, ATIS SON/Cloud Services Forum and TEC –Workshop with DoT and Operators Need to discuss with DoT officials and operators and prepare the workshop plan. Take inputs from the Security and Privacy workshop being conducted with TEC and Operators. –Call for Contributions for GISFI#10 SeON Framework TR Information Management TR Cloud Computing TR
