Even though you bring Me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. noise of your songs justicerighteousness Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them. 8 Deut. 8:2 test in order to know what was in your heart keep his commands. Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

Hebrews 11:17-19 tested By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, even though God had said to him, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned." Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and figuratively speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death.

1 Samuel 15:22 obeying To obey is better than sacrifice Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.

Psalm 51:16-17 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; You do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. broken spirit contrite heart The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

Hebrews 5:8 Although He [Jesus] was a son, He learned obedience from what He suffered.

Proverbs 3:7-8, 11-12 shun evilhealth Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. discipline rebuke disciplinesthose He loves 11 My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent His rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those He loves, as a father the son He delights in.

Hebrews 10:26 fearful expectation of judgment If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

John 14:21 obeys loves love showMyself to him “Whoever has My commands and obeys them, He is the one who loves Me. Whoever loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and show Myself to him.”
