1 Antonio Gaudi BY Eliza

2 Childhood Antonio was born in Catalonia in Spain on June the 25th 1852. His father who was a coppersmith taught him a lot. At a young age he became interested in Architecture. He went to study in 1870 in Barcelona which was Spain's most modern city at the time. Gaudi graduated from the Provincial School of Architecture in 1878.

3 Who/what Inspired Him Antonio was influenced and inspired by Art Nouveau. Art Nouveau is a style of architectural art usually murals, mosaics, jewellery and furniture. Antonio was also inspired a lot by his dad who was a coppersmith. This is the reason why he became so interested in architecture.

4 His Projects Seven of Antonio’s Works are on the World heritage list. These include: Parque Guell; Palacio Guell; Casa Mila; Casa Vicens; Gaudí’s work on the Nativity façade and Crypt of La Sagrada Familia; Casa Batlló; Crypt in Colonia Guell. A lot of Gaudi's work was inspired by his great passion for architecture, nature and religion.

5 Antonio Gaudi – Lizard/dragon
Description: This lizard lives in Park Guell right at the very front of the park. It was originally called a dragon but changed to lizard as time Passed. The lizard was shaped by Antonio using a bare mans bottom.

6 Antonio Gaudi – Columns
Description: Altogether there are 86 columns. They are on a left slant. They are in Park Guell.

7 Antonio Gaudi – casa battlo
Description: Casa means house. It is located right in the midst of Barcelona. It was built
