When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me. (Eph 6:18ff) We pray for one another, “Deliver US from evil”
