2 CORE—Congress of Racial Equality Non-violent, BUT utilized direct action in confronting issues Consisted of white and black students from the North and South Led the Freedom Rides – Members of CORE toured across the Southern states trying to use restaurants and restrooms that were suppose to be de-segregated
