11. Who needs to wear a seatbelt
Everyone should wear a seatbelt when in a vehicle
If you are under 19 it is a primary offense, which means a police officer can pull you over for not having a seat belt on
If you are over 19 it is a secondary offense, you cannot be pulled over for it, but when pulled over you can be sited for not having a seatbelt
The fine for not wearing a seatbelt is $45

12. Why wear a seat belt
Safety belts are your best protection against injury in a collision.
Even with an airbag as an added safety device, it is extremely important that you always wear your safety belt when you travel in a vehicle.

In Utah 85% of drivers report that they use their seat belts regularly.
More females that males use seatbelts
Teens use their seatbelts the least out of all age classifications
