5 Why the battle happened The British felt they needed to cut New England from the rest of the states in order to finally crush the revolution.

6 What happened in the battles 5,895 British and Hessian people and troops surrendered their arms. The battle of Saratoga was also a turning point of the Revolution War.

7 Advantages and Disadvantages Advantages They were fighting on their own ground Their greatest advantages was their leader George Washington. Disadvantages They had to wage war in a far away land were forced to ship soldiers and supplies thousands of miles across the Atlantic Ocean.
