Home to dozens of family-owned farms and wineries, the area’s long agricultural tradition provides ingredients used in Rough Rider whiskies. 3 Long Island Spirits Water used at the distillery is sourced from the Magothy Aquifer beneath the Pine Barrens National Forest Preserve. This area contains some of the purest water in the United States

4 In 1898 Teddy Roosevelt, a native Long Islander, organized the United States First Volunteer Cavalry, who became known as the Rough Riders. This disparate group of men shared a common purpose…the pursuit of adventure, independence, and excellence.
