2 INTRODUCTION OF BASIC DATA ON EUROPORT SHENGJINI Name : Europort „Eagle of the Adriatic“, Shengjin, Albania Location : Adriatic Sea, at the zone of Shengjin, Albania Capacity of the Europort : 60 million tons of goods and 4 million passengers per year Construction cost : 2.2 billion EUR Duration of construction : 5 years Form of investment : Private investment The surface is of 730 ha, out of which 89% will be in the sea and 11% or 70 ha on land.The sea surface and depth of the Adriatic Eagle Europort allow to be anchored and circulate ships of capacity form 5000 tons to 500,000 tons.

3 GEOGRAFIC POSITION OF THE EUROPORT SHENGJINI Latitude: N 41°49`26249`` Longitude: E 19° 33` 26607`` Europort of Shengjin which will connect mainly the south Adriatic and east Mediteranean Aquatorium with the Central, Eastern and also Northern European countries. The importance of the Europort of Shengjin in the European scale will also be in the light of connection the Adriatic Sea with the Black Sea and to avoid the fully congested Bosporus and Dardanelle straight. The Europort of Shengjin will be constructed between Commune Shengjin and Velipoje, at the coastline of Renci mountain, at an uncultivated costal zone, unexploited, at a rocky hole, by putting P= 89 % of the portal structures into the sea and p=11% of the portal structures in the land.
