3 Innovation and process of change There are numerous examples of education reform programs and innovation with many which have been successful and also a number which have failed. A missing ingredient in most failed cases is appreciation and the use of what is known as change knowledge: understanding and insight about the process of change and the key drivers that make for successful change in practice (8 forces for leaders of change; Fullen et al 2005) The pre-workshop task will allow you to get a holistic view of key ingredients for effective change which are at the heart for sustained systemic innovation in any organisation Read the “thinking piece” article on the next slide and the use the template provided to reflect on your own practice and your organisation. This workshop is designed to support you in the series of innovation workshops planned later.
