4 HISTORY The First games of Badminton were played in China as early as the 12 th century. The British Military brought back a version of badminton from India that was called “poona.” The first game of badminton as we know it was played inside on a rainy day in the Estate of Badminton in England in 1873. In 1893 the official rules of Badminton were written and the game was officially born.

11 COMMON FAULTS Hitting the shuttle cock two times in a row. You may only hit the bird one time. When the birdie gets stuck in the net or goes through or under the net. 14 . TO PRACTICE THE VOLLEY THE STUDENTS CAN HIT THE BIRD UP AND DOWN ROTATING THE RACKET FROM FOREHAND TO BACK HAND. THEN THEY CAN HIT IT BACK AND FORTH TO A PARTNER.
