2 1.1Why did you use a computer? What other systems / resources could you have used? I used a computer because I was able to access information form the internet for school website. I also used a computer to use PowerPoint in making a presentation for school. I could have used a leaflet or a poster to advertise the school. I could have also used the flipchart to present my presentation to the audiences. I used the computer to create my presentation because it was easier and more professional in [presentation information. Whereas if I had used the paper version it would not have been very good because my hand writing may have been difficult for some people to read and understand the information. Writing on the computer was very easy to read by using simple font styles and text size was good to make my information clear for my audiences.

3 1.2What skills did you need to learn in order to use PowerPoint? The skills I needed to have is how to copy and paste information. How to add images and video to my slides. I also needed to learn how to add hyperlinks to make it easy to link slides. I also needed to know how to setup master slider to make my slides all to be the same. I needed to learn how to add chart and table to be added in one of my slides to show college result.

4 1.2What resources did you need to make the presentation successful? The resources that I needed were to access to the internet to get information and animation gif files. I also needed to get a video of the school to show my audiences different parts of the building and the layout of the school. I also needed a camera to take pictures of the students, staff and of the college to be put on my slides show. I also needed the sound to make it more interesting for my younger audiences.

5 1.4What factors might have affected how well you completed the presentation? (e.g. time / attendance / knowledge of software) Knowledge of the PowerPoint software was the biggest factor affecting how well I complete my presentation. Time was important because my attendance was not very good. Therefore, I missed some lessons of PowerPoint skills and this made it hard for me to do my work on my own. My punctuality also got in the way as I missed the start of some lessons. This meant that I missed out on the most important instructions at the start.

6 1.6Why did you use PowerPoint to make your presentation? What other software was available? Why did you choose not to use them? I used the multimedia PowerPoint presentation because it is mainly for presenting work and presentations. I could have used the desktop publisher to create a leaflet to advertise the school. I did not use this method because not everyone would read the information and get a clear message. I could have used a Word processor to create a letter to share information. I did not use this method because it would be costly in printing and posting the letters and leaflets.

7 2.2Which tools within PowerPoint made it appropriate for your presentation? Appropriate tools in PowerPoint which I used were adding text and images to share information with my audiences. I used the master slide tool to make all my slide lay out the same to have a professional look. I used the video and sound tools to make it more interesting for my audiences. This was also to show the school is a fun place to be. I used slide animation to make each slide appear and draw my audiences attention.

8 1.7Were there any legal constraints or local constraints that changed the way you created your presentation? (e.g. copyright, file sizes) It was important to make sure the resources I used such as images were not breaking the copyright law. I had to make sure I was using resources without breaking the law by check I have the right to use students and teachers pictures with their permission. I had to think about the video size, because I had added other things and over all the file was too big. I then had to change the video size to be smaller and then inset it onto my presentation to reduce the overall file size. I also had to reduce the file size of the images to make sure the file was not too big to be saved in my user area. This is because we have a limited space on our college user account.

9 2.4What improvements do you think you could do to your presentation? The changes I could have made to improve my presentation would have been adding more images and text. By doing this I would be giving more information to the audience. I could have added more animated gif files to my slides for each lesson to show the year 6 how some lessons are fun. I could have added sound on the results page to show the audience we are a good school. By adding sound it shows the audience we are proud of our college result. I could have added a video for each lesson to show audiences what we do in each lesson instead of using text and images which made it less interesting.

10 3.2What improvements do you think you could have done to improve your work rate? I could have saved the hyperlinks for my project in a work file and I could have opened it whenever I needed it. To save more time and improve my rate of progress I could have saved the links into a project folder and bookmark it into my favourites. This would have been good because I can visit the links when I am working on my project. I could have improved my work rate by using shortcut keys when copying information use CTRL + C and to paste work CTRL +P. this way I could have done my work faster.
