4 4 EDC – Scope of Authority To follow the economic development vision of the county’s elected representatives. To acknowledge ‘stakeholders’ of interest in the community through “Chair” participation. To insure that ALL citizens have a say in the economic development vision. To eliminate the expectation that a few invest in economic development for the many. To provide insight, consultation, and direction to the elected officials To suggest policies, direction, and incentives to prospects in consideration, WITHOUT: Compromising the cultural integrity, historical significance, travel & tourism, and the existing businesses and infrastructure To incorporate the Pensacola Escambia Development Corporation (PEDC) into its operation as a development entity.
