12. Activity 3 Step 1: Children will be divided into small groups, between 5 and 6 each. Step 2: Children will start comparing their characteristics of themselves. Step 3: Children will develop a chart with two columns of similarities and differences. Step 4: Children will switch groups to learn more about other kids.

14. Activity 4 Step 1: Each child will present their family tree to class. Step 2: Teacher will begin discussion about how people have different backgrounds. Step 3: Students can ask questions about other children’s backgrounds.

15. Activity 5 Step 1: Pass out dittos of song. Step 2: Teacher and students read the song together first. Step 3: Teacher will demonstrate the motions to the song. Step 4: Teacher will sing the song first to teach the children the melody. Step 5: The class sings the song.

17. Wrap-up! Teacher will end the last activity by discussing how everyone is different, but still alike. Teacher will then make everyone look around the room to see the difference each child brings to the classroom.
